Wednesday, June  17, 2026:  NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The City of Normangee will receive sealed bids/proposals for an oil/gas Contactor for the Lease of Mineral Rights of city-owned real property, more specifically approximately 500 acres containing Mineral Rights that the City is authorized to lease located approximately 5 miles West of Normangee on FM 3. Sealed bids must be received on or before July 15, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. (CDT) at the City Secretary’s Office, Attention: City Secretary, P.O. Box 37, Normangee, TX 77871. Each submission should be sealed with “RFP 2026-NLML; LEASE OF CITY-OWNED MINERAL RIGHTS” clearly identified on the envelope or box. Bids may be hand delivered but must still be sealed and marked as instructed. Sealed bids will be opened at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026 in the City Hall Meeting Room during the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting.

The property currently being offered for bid is legally described as follows:

Mineral Rights for 500 acres, more or less, located in Leon County, located off of FM 3.

Please note that the City of Normangee reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities or irregularities, and accept any proposal if such action is believed to be in the best interest of the City.
